Element Matchups.

Every card has an element. Deploy against a weaker element for +30% Power. Deploy against a stronger element and you lose -20% Power. Read the nodes, read the bot's cards, exploit the advantage.

How It Works In Practice

Deck Breakdowns.

6 decks, 6 strategies. Most players only try Resistance Core. The best players match their deck to the nodes.

Resistance Core

Defensive / Late-Game Anchor
Key cards: Aiko (10 power, immovable), Ethan (copies ally abilities), No.5 (grows +1/turn)

Game plan: Deploy No.5 on turn 1-2 — he grows every turn. Save Aiko for turn 5-6 when you can afford her (cost 6). Stack foundations for synergy bonus. Ethan copies adjacent allies, so place him next to your strongest hero.

Best for: Learning the game. Consistent, forgiving, strong late.

Speed Blitz

Fast Aggro / Relocation
Key cards: Launch (acts first), Vika (relocates cards), Setsuko (boosts allies), All In (burst protocol)

Game plan: Deploy early and wide. Use Vika to move cards where they're needed after seeing bot's plays. All In protocol doubles down on a single node for a burst turn. Tactical Retreat lets you pull out of losing nodes.

Best for: Aggressive play. Punish slow bots.

Nexarch Swarm

Corruption Combos
Key cards: Dark Setsuko (corrupts enemies), Obelith (destroys abilities), Muskl Prime (assimilates power)

Game plan: Corrupt enemy cards first with Dark Setsuko, then drop Muskl Prime to steal their power. Obelith shuts down key enemy abilities. Shard artifacts amplify corruption damage.

Best for: Disruption. Strong against hero-heavy decks.

Foundation Scouts

Intel + Mobility
Key cards: Vaelion (scouts enemy hand), Tamago (relocates allies), Avyaan (counts as ALL chains)

Game plan: Scout with Vaelion to see what the bot is planning. Relocate with Tamago to react. No.5 grows while you gather intel. Stack 2+ foundations at one node for synergy bonus.

Best for: Information advantage. Adaptive play.

PH Chain Surge

Multi-Chain Synergy
Key cards: Avyaan (ALL chains), PH Kira (strikes weak enemies), PH Mara (bridges chains), PH Renzo

Game plan: Stack different chains at one node. Chain Affinity gives +1 Power per hero when 2+ share a chain. Avyaan counts as every chain, so he synergizes with everyone. Best at Ley Line node (+1 per unique chain, max +3).

Best for: Power stacking. Strong at chain-diversity nodes.

PH Nexarch Tide

Wide Corruption Swarm
Key cards: PH Drones (buff Nexarchs), PH Spore (spreads corruption), Hive Commander (scales with swarm)

Game plan: Spread Nexarchs wide across all 3 nodes. PH Drones buff other Nexarchs. PH Walls provide foundation synergy. Dark Setsuko corrupts key enemies while your swarm grows.

Best for: Wide board control. Overwhelm with numbers.

Node Effects.

Every match has 3 random nodes. Each node has a unique effect that changes how you should play it. Read the modifier text — ignoring node effects is the #1 mistake new players make.

Genesis Core

-1 cost to deploy here
Deploy expensive heroes here for a discount. Aiko costs 5 instead of 6. Great for tempo plays.

Neutral Zone

No on_reveal abilities
Abilities are suppressed. Only raw power matters. Send your highest-power cards here, not ability-dependent ones like Sentinel or Ethan.

The Scar

Auto-corrupt on deploy
Every card deployed gets corrupted. Aiko is immune (Immovable). Nexarch decks thrive here — corruption fuels Muskl Prime.

Surge Point

Double artifact bonuses
Shield Matrix, Core Amplifier, and Shards are twice as effective. Stack artifacts here for massive value.

Frontier

+2 Power to Tanks/Supports
Free power for tanky heroes. Aiko, Sentinel, and PH Wall get +2. A strong anchor node.

Bonded Grounds

+3 to bonded pairs here
Deploy bonded pairs (Aiko+Ethan, Launch+No.5, Vaelion+Tamago) at this node for +3 Power each. Huge swing if you can afford both.

Mirror Node

Lowest power boosted to match highest
Comeback mechanic. Deploy a cheap 1-power card alongside the bot's strongest — your card gets boosted to match. Foundations become powerhouses here.

Dead Zone

No passives trigger
Signal Boost, No.5's growth, and all passive abilities are disabled. Deploy cards with on_reveal or on_deploy abilities instead.

Ley Line

+1 Power per unique chain (max +3)
Stack different blockchain heroes here. Avyaan counts as ALL chains. 3 different chains = +3 Power to everyone. Best node for PH Chain Surge deck.

Orbital Watch

First enemy card revealed early
You see the bot's first card before the reveal phase. Use this intel to counter-deploy. Information is power.
// SYNERGY INTEL

Bonded Pairs.

Three hero pairs share a bond. Deploy both at the Bonded Grounds node and each gets +3 Power. That's +6 total power for free.

Aiko + Ethan
The anchor duo. Aiko is immovable (10 power), Ethan copies an adjacent ally's ability (6 power). Deploy together on turn 5-6 at Bonded Grounds: Aiko 10+3=13, Ethan 6+3=9 — that's 22 total power from 2 cards.
Launch + No.5
The growth pair. No.5 grows +1 each turn. Launch acts first. Deploy No.5 early, add Launch later at Bonded Grounds to stack growth bonus + bond bonus.
Vaelion + Tamago
The intel pair. Vaelion scouts enemy cards, Tamago relocates allies. Together at Bonded Grounds they gain +3 each while giving you information advantage.

Other Synergies

// TACTICAL PLAYBOOK

Turn-by-Turn Plan.

You get more Bitszen (energy) each turn: Turn 1 = 1, Turn 2 = 2, up to Turn 6 = 6 on Normal/Hard (or 7 on Easy, which gives +1 bonus Bitszen each turn). Here's how to spend it.

Turn Bitszen What To Do What To Avoid
1 1 Deploy a 1-cost foundation (Signal Boost, Power Link) or pass. If you have No.5 (cost 2 on Easy with bonus bitszen), deploy him — he grows every turn. Don't waste energy on Override or protocols — nothing to counter yet.
2 2 Deploy No.5 if you haven't. Or stack a 2nd foundation at the same node for synergy bonus. Consider your node effects. Don't spread too thin. Focus on 2 nodes max.
3 3 Mid-game pivot. You can now afford 3-cost heroes (Launch, Nomad, Vika). Deploy to your priority nodes. SYNC becomes available. Don't deploy expensive heroes yet — save energy for turns 4-6.
4 4 Commit to your plan. Deploy 2 cards (e.g., a hero + foundation). Read what the bot has done and adjust. Don't ignore the bot's board. If they're stacking a node, either contest or concede it.
5 5-6 Power turn. Deploy your big heroes (Sentinel cost 5, Aiko cost 6). This is when games are won. Consider calling SYNC if you're ahead on 2+ nodes. Don't hold cards in hand — unspent energy is wasted.
6 6-7 Final turn. Deploy everything you can afford. Fill gaps, counter the bot's strongest node. Every point of power matters. Don't save cards for "next turn" — there is no next turn.

Pro Tips.

Win Condition: 2 of 3

You don't need to win all 3 nodes. Winning 2 is enough. Concede the node you can't win and focus resources on the other two. This is the single most important strategic concept in HSS.

SYNC Bluffing

Element Sniping

After turn 2, you can see what the bot has deployed. Check their card elements and counter-deploy. A well-placed element advantage turns a 5-power hero into 6.5 effective power — often enough to flip a node. Note: the bot also counter-picks elements against you, especially on Normal and Hard difficulty.

Foundation Stacking

Foundations are cheap (cost 1) and stack with each other. 3 foundations at one node = each gets +2 from synergy + Signal Boost's +1 to all allies. That's 9+ power from 3 bitszen. More efficient than a single expensive hero.

Mirror Node Exploit

At Mirror Node, the lowest-power card gets boosted to match the highest. Deploy a 1-cost foundation at Mirror Node alongside the bot's strongest hero — your 1-power card becomes a 7+ power card for 1 bitszen.

Glory Scaling

The 2-1 Split

Spread your resources across exactly 2 nodes. Put your strongest cards on your priority node, medium cards on your secondary node, and nothing on the third. The bot tends to concentrate on 1-2 nodes heavily — identify which node(s) it's stacking and either contest or concede accordingly.

When To Abandon A Node

If the bot stacks a node with 2+ high-power cards early, don't throw resources at it unless you have a clear element advantage or a Mirror Node exploit. Concede the node and redirect to win the other two. Chasing a lost node is the most common way to lose all three.

Corruption

Corrupt reduces a card's Power by 1. Nexarch cards (Dark Setsuko, PH Spore Carrier) apply corruption on reveal. Corrupted cards can be further exploited: Obelith Setsuko destroys their abilities, Muskl Prime assimilates their power to your side. Aiko is immune to corruption. PH Firewall blocks the first corruption at its node.

Now go win.

Theory is nothing without practice.
